Continuing our exploration of the community statement

Join us for our Sunday night service, but in place of a sermon, we've carved out some additional time for an interview with Peter Rollins. We've heard his lectures and his parables, so in this event, we'll attempt to hear his story. Where does Peter Rollins come from, and how does he come to be Peter Rollins?

This week we complete our journey in exploring hospitality and the unconditional, ending with among the most difficult forms of welcome, the welcome of self. More than merely the way we think of ourselves, we'll ask questions about the way we live in response t our own value, the conditions we place on our own acceptance, and the ways we project our limited welcome onto the divine. From how to love ourselves, to the ways the church heals or hurts us, we'll need your voice to round out a robust conversation.

This week, following in our theme of unconditional hospitality, we'll explore how it is that we can continue to be a "multi-generational community", who welcomes a diversity of ages, to view time and "newness" more deeply than fads and trends, and to hopefully begin to reclaim the value of wisdom, experience, and generational integration.

This week we continue our exploration of unconditional welcome and the risk of hospitality, with a reflection and conversation, between Ben and Lindsey, on pluralism. We'll look at the increasing pluralism of different faith, traditions and religions in our culture, with whom we live, and to whom we might extend generous welcome. We will look as well at the plurality of different beliefs within the family of our own religious tradition. Join us for a very engaging and conversational engagement with this topic, where your voice and thoughts will contribute to our shared experience.

This week we'll explore the connection between unconditional hospitality and the risk of the unexpected arrival of the other. We'll navigate this primarily through our perspective as a congregation, welcoming of the LGBTQ+ community. Join us as we ask questions about the surrender of social initiative for the sake of true welcome.
