Collective Podcast Sermons for threshold faith communities.

Welcome to the collective stories podcast. We’re different people from different places and backgrounds, representing an intergenerational community, and we’ve traveled different paths. This is the podcast where we explore the diversity, depth, and beauty of our stories.

If you like what you hear and would like to share your story, help us out by providing amazing content for other listeners like you. Or, if you’d like to become a show sponsor, let us know. Email us to schedule a podcast interview, or inquire about sponsorship: info@ wearecollectivechurch.com.

Dia De Los Muertos is our annual celebration of those who have departed. This celebration will allow all ages to participate and there will be kids and students stations located within the main room. We look forward to a night of remembrance, community and a delicious shared meal. All are welcome.

Peter is perhaps best known for integrating provocative stories and parables into his talks that connect with our deepest and most disturbing truths. Because of this we’ve asked Peter to talk the art of parables and share some of his favorites. If you have a story or parable then bring it along as we’d love you to share them with us at the end. We’ll pick some of our favorites and integrate them into future Collective gatherings (getting you to tell it if you’re available).

We have a special treat this week! Our friend and partner in justice work, Rajni Shankar-Brown, will join us for some engagement and education surrounding the issues of hunger, encouraging us with simple ways to help, and challenging us to self-examine, especially as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving. Rajni will be sharing a sung selection from her sacred tradition, on this topic, reminding us that hunger is a human issue that transcends religious divides. We'll consider the story of Jesus feeding the multitudes, and ask some pointed questions about what this story does to us, rather than what we would rather it do for us.
